What did you think of the performance?
I was disappointed (with the rest of the country) as we obviously got our tactics wrong. It was a shame that the rest of the pelaton didn't want to help out so our guys effectively dragged them around for the entire race. They just feared Cav too much (although if the pelaton never caught the breakaway they couldn't medal either!!!)
In my opinion we should have done with the breakaway - if you're not up there then you can't win it!!!
Great to see Lizzie Armstead get a silver after a great ride in miserable conditions
Even better was to see Cav's reaction to the reporters question re: the TDF. "You know nothing about cycling..." and had to be pulled away!!!
There's too much pressure on our guys this time to win medals - I feel for them
