Does any one have a smart phone they are not using. My wife broke the screen on her HTC one with no insurance.

Did you check eBay for a replacement screen? Probably only a $50 repair?

anybody. from what i read on the internet its not as easy as people will have you believe to change a screen.

If you are looking for something to get by, target sells prepaid phones that you can pop your sim card into. That's what we did for my son's phone that he gave a bath to. They aren't as nice as HTC one, but they are Android. Also, I managed an Att store for several years and changed out multiple screens. I'm not sure how hard the HTC one is to change but I'd bet there is a YouTube video on how to diy. It's worth checking out.
