  • BobbyJack's Car Collection

Here is what I call our "Poor Man's Motor Speedway of the South"...

It has been pieced together with plastic and rubber tire cars plus a really neat custom that cvc1968 helped me to aquire. I used the M2 display cases that were recently clearanced at our local Walmart. I can see there is a nice glare from the overhead light right over Tachomint, but don't worry, the rubber tire version of him is there. I will post other stuff later. We still have lots of Cars 1 stuff left to open and I want to wait until another part of our collection is "complete"...

It's good that your Poor Mans SOTS is complete - I'm just working on and RT Apple then I'll have mine done too (and all RT...)

Nice to see some of your stuff

Very cool. I like what you did with the M2 boxes. That would never fly at my house since the racers get more playtime than anything else. It would be a tremendous pain in the behind to have to rebox after every session. But it sure looks good....

Luckily the World Grand Prix cars are getting most of the action these days. My son was not happy when he saw what daddy did with his cars though. Didn't use the twist ties either so they can still come out for a race.

Very impressed, especially with the SOTS and the manner in which you have displayed them, that is what I would like to do but can't find any suitable cases like yours lol

Here is what we have done with our Pixar character cars, Heavy Metal Mater, Rescue Squad, UFM, and Mater the Greater Cars...

Then below those, we have our Disney Store Frank, Tractors, Impounds, El Matordor, and Tokyo Mater Cars...

My son was not happy when I set this up because he can't reach them without help. I had to remind him that his little sister can't reach them either!

I got the display cases that my wife got me for Christmas this year, but they were too big to fit under the Christmas tree. So after the kids went to bed, I decided to set them up. Our collection takes up a lot less room now and we can look at them anytime we want. Gonna need one for all the deluxes for Father's day.

Nice collection bobbyjack - you just need to wall mount those cases now...

The next ones will be mounted above these two. I'm thinking I will need one more SA-100 about this time next Christmas. I think I will ask my wife for the one that holds the oversized and deluxes for my birthday this summer. We got some new stuff for our collection this Christmas. We added Ramone's House of Body Art thanks to another Cars collector that doesn't live too far away from me. Conrad had already gotten Luigi's for us earlier this year. It has been on the coffee table since you sent it and it is still in one piece!

We also opened up some new Toons playsets to add to our collection.

BobbyJack's birthday is coming up soon, so I will post some more pictures afterwards.
