  • Lights and Sounds Cars 2 Cars use LR44 batteries

Going through some loose Cars on my desk a few minutes ago and I pushed on the back Windows of a Finn McMissile... instead of talking, he made an obnoxious buzzing sound that would not stop... found a precision screwdriver and opened up the bottom..

Inside were 3 batteries... LR44 is the battery model.

1.5 Volt button cell battery... looks like a 10 pack is between $10 and $15 or more.

I wonder how many of my other Lights and Sounds are going to need new batteries.

Want to learn more about the LR44 battery? Here's a website:

    I'll add photos later.

Good to know. I didn't open my L&S. The reason was I thought I would have to change the batteries a lot.

Hey Chris, I recently bought some LR44 batteries for the monster trucks through amazon and the 10 pack was under $3 with free shipping...

Cheapest way to get LR44 in my experience is to buy light up cheap light-up $1 toys from Target's Dollar Spot or a dollar store. Usually 2-3 for a buck that way. Otherwise all button style batteries are outrageously priced.

I buy a 50 pack on Amazon every couple years for $10-$15. Geotrax, led lights, lights and sounds cars, larger disney store plastic pull back with sounds, and a ton of other toys use them.

Just used a blue & red blinking L.E.D. with three LR44(s) to make Axle Accelerator's lights blink. It came out of some ball that blinked when you toss it. My five year old broke the ball. So I up-cycled it. I tried to take pics but they didn't really do it justice.

Edit: post 102 (last page) shows the afore mentioned cheap toy guts. And my Axle Accelerator mod:

Our Spy Finn started making the same annoying sound a few days ago. I took the batteries out but didn't put any new ones in.
