  • Custom cars help

Hi I have been making custom cars for a long time now but the only problem I have had is removing the factory tampoos of the cars. If anyone here knows what to use please let me know. Thank you any help is appreciated

Isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol), at least 70% solution 90% if you can find it. And cotton swabs or a twisted up paper towel. Apply alcohol to swab or towel and rub vigorously. It takes a minute but it will do the trick.

I use nail polish remover with Q-tips.
Light rubbing since it's very strong and will remove the paint if rubbed too hard.
I'll have to try rubbing alcohol sometime.

Acetone is the active ingredient in most nail polish removers. And is a stronger solvent.

Be careful with the higher % it will strip paint! And also be very careful around any crevasses like on the hood or around doors. Seems the paint will strip off easier in these areas and it is very hard to get tampos out of them! I've been using a lower % nail polish remover which takes more effort but less risk of removing paint!
