I am speed... Lightning McQueen... Hotshot rookie race car... the main character of Cars and a featured character of Cars 2... During the years Mattel has released many different versions of Lightning McQueen... In this installment of Respect the Classics, we'll take a look at Chase Lightning McQueen with Bumper Stickers and Lightning McQueen MIT AUFKLEBERN.
World of Cars Chase Lightning McQueen with Bumper Stickers
Lightning McQueen with Bumper Stickers was the first Chase Car... it was released in World of Cars Case R back at the end of Summer 2008... while I ordered a case from an online reseller, I also saw this Car and case in many stores... this was the first version of McQueen with the bumper stickers added by Lizzie... he also included the white wall tires he purchased at Luigi's Casa Della Tires...
Most of them came packaged straight in the blister as shown above... a few were released packaged in an angled blister:
A friend from northern Indiana helped me out with the angled blister version of the Chase Car.

I liked the WOC cardback; it showed pictures of loose Cars from the series.
The production code of my opened Chase Lightning McQueen with Bumper Stickers was 1938EA - day 193 of 2008, made at the EA factory.
And that was the last we saw of the Car... however, summer 2013 saw the release of a new version available through a mail-in promo in Germany.
Lightning McQueen MIT AUFKLEBERN
Lightning McQueen MIT AUFKLEBERN was a special mail-in promo released in Germany starting in the summer of 2013... Purchase 4 Cars products... for each 4 UPC codes submitted, receive one promo Car... there was a limit of 5 per address... 2 of our PCD members from Germany (gipsy and keonisdad) helped many Cars collectors obtain this Car... I posted a request for UPC codes on the PCD Facebook page - I received over 150 UPC codes from PCD members which I forwarded onto gipsy and keonisdad... I received several promo Cars in 2 packages and will be using a few as contest prizes... Due to the limit of 5 per address, they really had to work to come up with names and addresses of people to use.

Lightning McQueen MIT AUFKLEBERN featured a Metallic paint finish; it looks great!
Here are pictures showing the loose Cars - Chase McQueen with stickers is on the left, and the metallic version is on the right:

I'd like to see more Cars released with Metallic paint finish... will Mattel make it happen? We'll have to see.
