Technically not my first, but not sure if pimping my Pope with gold rims, crucifix and bumper counts as a custom, more of a modify job.

Got the idea as my wee man was completely 'meh' about Mike Lorengine and on a recent thread the discussion was why Mattel released Z-list Cars instead of sought after B-list ones.

And it got me thinking, hmmmm

So, take 1 Mike Lorengine, some Play Doh, scalpel (for the Para badge), some paint (acrylic, colour "sprout green" and silver metallic) and a few little stickers (don't have decal paper), I present for your inspection...

Took me about 2 hours total (in between waiting for paint and play doh to dry out) and really easy and lots of fun. A couple of pics...

Neat! I think they want to release the simple diecasts first before releasing the more sought after ones. That way they can keep selling us the same molds just slightly retooled or repainted.
