I saw the latest article on T5AD, so I was inspired to open some Cars...

I don't have a Wheel Well set up, so I just put them outside the V8 Café...

I'm ready to read what the Halloween Contest is going to be so I can take some more pictures!

Here are the pictures from Saturday after I got home from work.

Had to free 7 more Cars to get 10 Cardbacks to send in with matching UPCs

Here is the new Gold Rip added to an M2 case and placed with the regular Rip and Silver Rip...The other open Gold Rip is on my Trade List.

Now we have 2 open Rukas...Don't really need 2, so if someone would like an open one, I put her on my Trade List.

Don't really need 2 open Marks either...

Here are my 10 Cards I've got ready to mail in. Hopefully today or tomorrow I'll get to the Post Office.

I just started my Cars opening party... the first 25 from Kmart 10 have been opened:

I remember how tough it was to open my first Rip single... although getting one with creases on the card made it easy... I didn't bat an eye when opening these 6...


Holley kept looking at me like I was crazy... Cars crazy...

I have ended up doing 75 cars for 15 mail ins
I have done a test by mailing in some of the wrong card backs to see if mattel accepts or rejects them
my cards will get to mattel Thursday and by the 30th I expect to know if they are checking every card back or not

I just traded these with a local guy I trade with. Gave him my good carded ones and he gave me his somewhat messed up cards, but since he is a carded collector and I'm an opener, it made sense...

Been looking forward to opening these for a while...

I thought this Finn would look cool coming down the ramp of the Oil Rig...

Figured Fred would look cool hanging out with Otis. Also put the McQueen cut-out on top of Ramone's shop.

Stuck that McQueen with Sally going for a cruise...

Put the Doug Speedcheck with the race security.

I knew I had to open this guy too...

Needed him for my Halloween photo...

At first I had these set up in front of the TV, but everytime you needed to open the DVD player, they would have to be moved.

Ended up putting them here on the mantel.

I showed them to BobbyJack when he got home from school. He didn't really care very much. The cardbacks were bent on one of each, so I figured why not open them?

The Radiator Springs John Lassitire looks great right out of the package.




Here he is now, hanging out in our Radiator Springs set-up.

Our Muggsy already has a paint chip on his eyes right out of the package, but other than that, he looks great.




Here he is on our Oil Rig Set-up.

I was thinking at first that I might want 2 open Muggsies, but now seeing how big he is, one is just fine.

Here are some photos of our open Alex Carvill...

As you can see, he is pretty beat up in the back.

I didn't even notice how bad the damage was until after I opened him. Not sure how this happened while he was still in the package.

Figured it would be a good time to open a 2nd.

I still had 4 card backs laying around...

Now I have a 5th for our next set of Promos.

If I remember correctly, these guys worked as a pair anyway...
