Collecting Cars is going to start getting a little more complicated... many of us are used to the term Movie Moments being used to describe 2 packs... but now, Mattel is releasing Movie Moments singles... Thanks to Fillmore1234 for posting these on the PCD Facebook group.

I wonder how much extra the accessory is going to add to the cost of the single.

I'm not excited about many of these yet... however, according to Eli from PCD supporter GetMeCollectibles, Gask-Its will be released as a Movie Moment... And I'd like a Gask-Its.

If Charlie Check is released with the Walmart 8 color taillights it might sell... Sage VanDerSpin (Gask-Its) will probably be a big seller as it has only had limited release with plastic tires (French mail-in promo Car and Lightyear Launcher).

What he said... plus retailers over here have cut right back to just regular singles so there's no space literally for any other themes no matter how stupid they are... I wish that Disney had stipulated on the renewal of the contract that the suits on the buying board were relieved of duty and replaced with employees that actually collect something, anything. That could make the difference.

Yes the much valued shelf space has already been limited by the return of Silver Racers. Add into the mix Carbon Racers, Carnival Cars, Colour Changers, Toons and RS Classics (depending on where you do your Cars shopping) as well as main line Cars, with all the choice each line is struggling to stand out from the next. Now add another sub series Movie Moments then it's just another problem for retailers to decided what exactly to stock. And I can imagine the price of these Movie Moments will have jumped from the price of a single to the price of deluxe (just guessing) as there must be a cost attached to that magical piece of plastic!

When Hot Wheels had to add useless plastic accessories to the average single release of the Monster Jam trucks, that's when the line began to decline and I bailed. Hope that this is a short-lived trend like the singles with the sticker set in it.

I really like them small accessoires in the single packages as they came. The Piston cups, Fillmore cans, LMQ signature plate etc. But they came along 'new' cars...not a bunch of racers again. certainly as an opener this will be simple call for me. NO

And looking at these new accessoires in these movie moment packs I'm quite sure we'll see some home made ones soon. This should be easy to make on 3d printer.
