We got 2 more inches of snow overnight... we have about 4 to 5 inches on the ground... and winter doesn't start for 11 more days.

We still have trees on campus that have not lost all their leaves... we were very late this year getting our first frost and freeze:

Heavy part of snow is coming to my area. I can see the snow falling more and more.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas…



We got between 4-5 inches of snow yesterday. My backyard looks like it came straight from a postcard.

If the news is correct it would appear another storm is brewing for the UK this week .. The wind has certainly got strong tonight

While the snow looks lovely, today's snow was wet and heavy... it was packing well, but after shoveling my driveway and sidewalks I didn't have the energy left to go out in the rain and make a snowman... it's going to be cold most of the next 10 days - not sure we'll have a white Christmas or not but it's looking like a possibility.

Fillmore1234 - I really like the view of your yard... that would make an awesome (and challenging) 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle.

All the snow looks great, we haven't had snow in years where I live. :-\ Mason is 2 and he has no idea about snow or building snow men

We built a snowman yesterday...

Then we got in the Hot Tub.

I decided to take the day off work today to spend some time with the family. The snow we got just gave me a good excuse.

Woke up this morning to find... we'd gotten another 1"+ of snow overnight... didn't have time to shovel the driveway before work this morning... I really don't like winter weather anymore...

Here's a photo from campus this afternoon... after 3"+ Friday night/Saturday and another 1"+ overnight:

No snow yet in Richmond, VA and no signs of it in the 10 day forecast. At least it saves some driveway shoveling...

No photos yet... and we ended up a lot more fortunate than others...

Major storm hit on Sunday... we ended up just on the southeast side of the 32 degree line which meant we had mostly rain... ended up with 2 to 3 inches of snow total... 8 miles northwest of us got 6 inches of snow... 35 miles northwest ended up with over 12 inches of snow... we ended up with low temperatures of -12 degrees F and wind chill temps of less than -40.

Every county north of Interstate 70 was on a level 3 warning (emergency travel only) starting Sunday... we're still at level 2 which is essential travel only... the driveway and our road is a solid sheet of ice.

It's supposed to warm up to 8 degrees later today and in the upper 20s tomorrow.
