I finally found new Cars at the 2 stores in the county that still sell Cars... Meijer got new 2 packs (although there is even a newer case of 2 packs that has NO new Cars)... Walmart got in the Floyd Mulvihill singles case.

Meijer put out the rest of the case of 2 packs overnight... great to see a Bumper Save Tractor 2 pack on a decent condition card back... still no new singles but they only have 7 on the pegs... I got them all on 1 peg - the other 2 pegs for singles are now empty...

The European clipstrip cases are not cases or assortments in the traditional sense. There are still 24 cars, but they are usually supplied attached to the plastic clipstrips in a flatpack box / carton / case. This explains why there are a high number of damaged cards. I've only ever seen a couple of full clipstrips in the box. The assortments have always been less than traditional case assortments, with two of most cars.

With the current assortments at ASDA and Morrisons in the UK, there are 2no. Kurts and 2no. Ryan 'Inside' Laney. Along with Metallic Sally, Ryan wasn't released on a 2018-2019 card in the UK.

I had a close look at the current clipstrip cars. Although the front of the card is shiny (in common with the other Thailand cars), the rear of the card appears to be cheaper recycled paper. I wonder if this is the way forward or maybe just restricted to the European clipstrip cards? All the cars in the clipstrip assortment have the same barcode 8 87961 48789 3. The assortment is: FFL05.

    Jambalaya Chimichanga

    Lightning McQueen as Chester Whipplefilter

    Barry dePedal
    Cal Weathers
    Clutch Aid
    Cruz Ramirez
    Jackson Storm
    Leakless
    Lightning McQueen
    Re-volting

Hamleys have the Drag Racing singles at £13 each:

    Brick Yardley
    Cruz Ramirez

    Lightning McQueen
    Lil' Torquey
    Nitroade
Thank you for the update, niftynigel... the 2018-19 Demo Derby Fishtail, Jimbo, and McQueen as Chester Whipplefilter did not show up in the US; I got a set of the 3 of them from a friend in Canada... Walmart in the US ordered way too many of the Cars 3 ones... close out stores including Big Lots and TJ Maxx (TK Maxx in the UK) got the leftovers of the Cars 3 ones... Other than the Drag Racing singles, prices on what you found are decent compared to many prices in the UK.

I decided not to buy the Mud Racer singles or Deluxe (other than Speedy Comet)...

Glad to hear that you still see ru5ty from time to time, boogity... those were the days... we have had some great members of this forum and Cars community over the years... not as much activity on the website lately but we're trying.

No new store finds for me within the last week... maybe I'll get to go look this weekend.

Awesome find, VANDANCE! Congratulations! I hope you find the rest of the new releases soon.

I do agree that the new cards look nice... I'm telling myself that I'm not buying everything that's released on the new card... so far I've only been buying new Cars and first time Thailand releases of the racers... although I did buy Otto Bonn and Maddy McGear as they are variants.

So the free dust didn't tempt you to buy new Cars boogity... it wouldn't tempt me either... hopefully you'll find new Cars soon as well.

The only ones from that case you found niftynigel that I bought for myself are Metallic Ryan Shields and I did buy 1 The King and 1 Barry DePedal... I bought a couple of the next generation racers for a friend in Europe.

I've driven 700 extra miles in the last 9 days to stop at Meijer stores that have empty singles pegs hoping to find more of the made in China Scavenger Hunt rubber tire racers... the pegs are still empty... I'd been told every time that they'd have Cars on the pegs the next day... this past Monday (Labor Day) they told me they're coming but they don't know when.
