Big Lots---While hunting for a Nitroade team set for a friend I scored a Mack set instead. Not too shabby, especially since I traded mine away a month or so ago.

Went to Kmart today and was lucky enough to find Sho Todorki synthetic tires! They only had 4 of him so we got them all

Stopped at Meijer before work this morning... I noticed they'd started setting up the Christmas aisles... just for kicks I decided to look... I found the Cars ornament globes... all repeats from 2009 or 2010 box sets... Decked Out Doc Hudson, Ramone, Fillmore, Holiday Hotshot McQueen... and from the 2009 Mater Saves Christmas Target exclusive box set... Reindeer Mater...

I will add photos later today. I went back after supper and bought Decked Out Doc to go along with the Reindeer Mater:

I may also check out a few Meijer stores while I'm checking out Kmart stores tomorrow.


I also heard that some Cars holiday items have been found at Hobby Lobby - I will try to check that out at lunch; nothing of note at our Hobby Lobby.

Finally found a Pope Pinion X 3 & Pope Mobile X 3 at a Wal-Mart in Georgia this morning. I'll be making a road trip to the Alabama/Tennesse game this weekend. Hope to make many "finds" on the road.

October 22, 2011 finds

Kmart 7 Cars at 5 of 6 stores and Kmart 6 Cars at 1 store... Deluxe Pinion Tanaka at 1 Kmart... Carla Crew Chief 2 packs at 2 of the 6 Kmart stores... Reindeer Mater singles at 2 of 3 Meijer stores... the new Meet the Cars book at 2 Target stores... saw but did not buy the 2011 TRU Mater Saves Christmas 2 pack with last year's McQueen and Mater...












I also bought 2 other ornaments at one of the Kmart stores... the one with Mater and Sally is the same ornament... did not show photos of Ramone or McQueen that are also on the ornament.







I have a Christmas tree with Cars ornaments made from extra Cars... it's been up for almost 2 years straight... I'll add photos of it later.


I had to rely on friends to get the rest of the Lewis, Miguel, Max, and Carla rubber tire racers (especially Lewis) I needed for UK and Canadian friends...

Even thought I missed the Kmart Day 7 event yesterday, they still had ALL of the cars that were there! 10/23










I wish there were more of Lewis Hamilton, but I'm glad they had the 2!

This is the same in the lakeside, West Thurrock branch, I asked how much stock they have out the back and they have case after case of old stock and wont get nothing new until what remains is low although seeing the pit crew team sets are good value for £9.99. I hope the film makes the kids buy all the finns maters and mcqueens so every retailer gets new stock in.

I was in the thurrock branch last week and saw the pit crew set wanted the chick Hicks one but they didn't have it.

Also is the Ramone with hydrolics up rare as i saw it in Argos and have never seen it before.

boogity - I'm not sure what picture you're talking about... which post number is it? Kmart displays do leave a little to be desired... their stores are not usually as renovated (up to date) as others (Meijer, Target, TRU).

HunterLovesCars2 - can you tell us what that Mater is in the lower left corner of your picture? Also, do I see Lewis Hamilton launchers in the same photo? I saw 2 on the pegs at a Target store on Saturday but at $12.99 I left them... I already have an open one, and have decided I am not going to collect multiples of everything... no more open 1 and keep 1 carded of everything.
