      These shelves hold about 5% of my collection...

      As you can see, The room is red. We just recently painted it in a cars theme.

                  No, when i built it I made the back of each shelf 1/16 of an inch lower than the front. This means that the Cars stay snug against the wall. Also the shelf is mounted very tightly to the wall with four l-brackets so there is no movement of the shelf at all.

                  Truth be told though, I wish I would have built it out if 1x4s. I used what I had lying around but the shelves could stand to be a little deeper...especially for the planes.

                      Very nicely done, gtommec3... it looks great... very good idea to have the back a little lower than the front as well... one day one of my display cases started to come loose from the wall... Cars were rolling forward... there were a few Cars that suffered paint chips... I know use poster putty under each Car to keep them in place... I do need to put the covers back on the display cases as well.
