This is kind of off topic, but is any one familiar with the Highway 35 World Race cars and acceleracers? If so doesn't any Hotwheels collector out there think that was one of the best series, if not the best I have a few myself and I love them. Please Reply.

You just know that will happen LOL... I thought that on last years 77 Dodge Van TH.

And then found None! that car was rare in the UK as was the Ford Fiesta TH. I hope Homer isn't going to be the same, the Love Bug started off like it to begin with but recently its all I seem to see. Case F still not nationwide yet in the UK only seen as clip strips in Asda and Morrisons.

Look out for the new Kool Kombi in case G, nice dark blue paint job on that one.

Yep I also was a big fan of Highway 35 / Accelerators series. The cars had great decals and special co mould wheels. Highway 35 was the first film proceeded by 3 Accelerators films which are just as good. If you have not seen the movies, they are great & worth checking out. When this series came out my son was 4 years old so we both really enjoyed collecting the cars and playing with them whilst watching the film. We collected all the cars and kept the buttons that came with each car. At the time Mattel had a promo, send all the buttons away to Mattel in exchange for the World Race track playset. We got our track set and it is massive!! Our set is still mint in the box due to not having the room required to set it up and leave it there. Our favourite team is Teku but love the character Pork Chop from the Metal Maniac team! The only missing car we didn't get was Zed 36- that was a special release. I'll have to dig the cars out now!!

Nice find with the Gasser wheel variation. A few of these have been found so not a one off but certainly looks better than the 'normal' version. Cool

Sorry, I should have made myself a bit clearer, the World Race cars came with a small plastic disc which had a picture of the car on it. Send away all 35 plastic discs (which means you had to open the cars) in exchange for the track set. The Acceleracers cars came with a single card.
