I hope that Mattel (UK) don't mind me posting this information, but I had a lengthy chat with the Customer Services department this morning, just after I posted the 'why they continue to he unhelpful' (or similar) post!

There is to be only one more final Cars 2 case. They couldn't confirm the number, but it's likely that it's 997K, 997L or 998H. Most likely the former.

This is a provisional listing for the last case. Whatever is left over will go to consolidater outlets, Poundland etc.

This will be available to all retailers. Rip will not be in all cases. As this is only a provisional list, it's unclear what he will be replaced with! I'm hopeful that the Customer Services rep will confirm this information on Monday.

The case may well be in shops by then anyway. She did confirm that most of the cases had been shipped out to retailers this week.

The Cars 2013 range will be launched in mid-January at all retailers. There will be exclusive cases at launch. Launch partners will be Disney Stores, Hamleys, Argos, Toys R Us and others.

found these in home bargains in brislington today - first time i've ever seen them in the wild



managed to pick up two of the ka-ciao mcqueen and daryll/brent packs if anyone is interested

also seen this case at one of the home bargains i went to today.visited 8 in total,only one of them had this case,a few had the security guard finn case,i lost count of how many of these i seen in total today,must be in the region of 25-30 of them,priced at Ł3.99
a few had the launchers of carla,jeff,lmq and francesco,priced at Ł3.99 on international old style cut cards.
nearly all had the TRU exclusive finish line frenzy game with the TRU exclusive blacked out on it.these were priced at Ł6.99.
seen both the wrestlers,bus,both finn deluxes at most on international cards,first time that this store has had these as all previous deliveries have been of the US cards.
1 store had the pope on international card.

debenhams had 2 x suki and an otis,i left them all

yes they also had a carla and jeff launcher - someone took the carla as i was looking through the shelf - plus a couple of top deckington's and the finish line frenzy game

Oh wow....TRU Finish line frenzy would be awesome. I actually only want the gold mcqueen in there so I don't know what I'd do wit the play set. I don't think my son is old enough to play with it lol.

Also got 2 more Hank Halloween Murphy, 1 Sally and 1 Vladimir Trunkov,


Sadly, I can't find Sheriff for 2013.

have to thank niftynigel's case list as spotted a bindo on the pegs which wan't there when i looked in the shop on saturday - a quick check on here showed that he was in the case with GG so asked to have a look at what else they had out back and bingo!

Another product of the case 998G, the best UK case for a long time!

Galloping Geargrinder is supposed to be in the next and final Cars 2 case too.

We covered a lot of ground and many stores over the past three days and found nothing in the London, Birmingham and Greater London areas! There were the remains on case 997J in many supermarkets. Stock levels were quite high in most shops, so it's difficult to see many ordering new cases unless they have them in their own warehouses!

It's the calm before the storm that is the release of the last Cars 2 case.

We went to TRU Croydon today and they said that there will be no further deliveries of Radiator Springs Classic, so that looks like the series is now dead in the UK. Even though the official launch of Cars 2013 is Monday 14 January 2013, there is nothing showing on their system. They aren't listed as a launch parter for the 2013 range, so they may just concentrate on their own exclusive stuff? Why didn't they sell Cars Take Flight exclusively in the UK? That would've been very popular!
